The trades have been perfect and as a tradesman myself I am very happy to see that time and quality has been put into my home and this is something other builders are quite lax in providing. In this day and age, there is really no excuse left to manufacture or buy non-HUD compliant manufactured housing. You can rest assured that all prominent manufacturers today are HUD compliant.

They are the only company that actually makes their product at a higher grade versus Andersen Windows which is absolute crap and their warranty is worse. Similar to the last post, I too am living in a 1992 Champion Doublewide that I've occupied for 21 years. We did have problems with the kitchen pipes breaking and flooding the house, in 1995 and 1998; we had to replace those pipes. And the windows have those little things on them which break off before too long and you can't find replacements anywhere, at least we couldn't.

I am terribly upset with the service and quality of the home we received. It started that we should have had our home in 6 months. It ended up being 1 year before we received our home.

My house is about to finished in next few months and can't wait to enter in our first house. I would and have recommended them to other people and to close friends who are looking to build. But all told, our home has been pretty sturdy. For example, the floors didn't buckle even after being under six plus inches of water for over an hour, on two separate occasions. And the roof is just now starting to lose a shingle or two after 21 years in the blistering sun of New Mexico.

Closet doors are not square, there are openings of an inch at the top, and tight at the bottom. Window screens are too narrow so bugs can enter the home when the windows are open. Floor squeaks from one end to the other.

Then when bringing the home, the driver wasn't careful and tore up the front of the house. Just before being delivered, I was told they couldn't get the black appliances. Then they told me they couldn't get the French door refrigerator, so I had to take the side by side, which I hate.
